These terms cover this website (jotary.pages.dev) and its waitlist. They are between you and the person who runs Jotary (the operator). There is no app yet. When there is one, it will have its own terms.

1. What this site is

Jotary is an iPhone app idea for notary signing agents that is in development. This site describes it, shows prototype screens with fictional data, and takes email addresses from people who want to hear when it is ready. Nothing on this site is for sale, and nothing can be downloaded.

2. The waitlist

  1. When you enter your email address, you agree that the operator may email you about Jotary: when it is ready, and occasionally about its progress or to ask what you need from it. Expect a few emails at most, not a newsletter.
  2. Every email will say who it is from and carry an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by replying or by writing to the address below. Unsubscribe requests are honoured within 10 business days.
  3. The two questions on the page (what you would pay, whether you are a notary) are optional. Your answers help decide what to build and at what price. They do not commit you to anything.
  4. You must be at least 18 to join the waitlist.

3. Prototype screens and prices

Every screen on this site is a prototype. Every name, address, ID, fee and journal entry shown is fictional. Prices shown are the plan for launch and may change. The app may change before launch, or not launch at all. Joining the waitlist does not reserve a price or a feature.

4. Not legal or tax advice

This site mentions tax rules and state notary rules as general information with links to the sources. The operator is not a lawyer, an accountant or a notary. Nothing here is legal, tax or professional advice. Check your own state's rules and ask your own preparer.

5. Liability

This site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or from relying on anything on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

6. Changes and contact

The operator may update these terms. The date at the top changes when that happens. The operator is an individual living in Canada; the name and mailing address are given on request. Questions: jotary.app@gmail.com.
