JotaryPrivacy policy
This policy covers the Jotary website (jotary.pages.dev) and its waitlist. There is no app yet. When there is one, this policy will be rewritten to cover it before it ships.
1. What is stored
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | When you join the waitlist | To email you when Jotary is ready, and occasionally about its progress |
| Your answers to the two optional questions (what you would pay, whether you are a notary) | When you tap an answer | To decide what to build, at what price, and whether the people asking for it are notaries |
| Which link brought you here (for example "tiktok" or "ads"), and a random per-visit id | On every visit | To count visitors, answers and signups per channel. The id lives in your browser's session storage and is gone when you close the tab. |
| Your country, as the hosting provider guesses it from your connection | On every visit and signup | To check that visitors are in the US and Canada |
| Your browser's user-agent string | When you join the waitlist | To tell real signups from bots |
This site does not use cookies, advertising trackers or third-party analytics. It does not store your IP address.
2. Emails
Your email address is used only for emails about Jotary. Every email says who it is from and carries an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are honoured within 10 business days. Your address is never sold, rented or shared for anyone else's marketing.
3. Where it is kept and who sees it
The data is stored by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States, with servers worldwide), which hosts this site and its database. The operator, an individual living in Canada, is the only person who reads it. A mailing service may be used to send the waitlist email; it will receive only your address.
4. How long
Waitlist addresses and answers are kept until Jotary launches and the launch email has gone out, or until the idea is dropped, whichever comes first, and for no more than 12 months after that. Visit counts are kept as totals without the per-visit id after the test ends.
5. Your choices
- Unsubscribe: the link in any email, or write to the address below.
- See or delete your data: write to the address below from the email address you signed up with. Deletion is done within 30 days.
- Skip the questions: they are optional. The email box works without them.
6. Children
This site is for adults. If you are under 18, please do not join the waitlist. If a minor's address turns up, it is deleted.
7. Changes and contact
The operator may update this policy. The date at the top changes when that happens. The operator's name and mailing address are given on request. Questions and requests: jotary.app@gmail.com.
